Business Breakfasts
The business breakfast took place in the courtyard of Intelligentsia Coffee on Abbot Kinney over lattes and fresh pastries. We discussed how to package a pitch-deck for pre-seed funding and which tax incentives in LA help save money in the early stages.
Networking Parties
We held an evening networking session on the rooftop of WeWork Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Under the sunset and light jazz, we exchanged contacts. We discussed partnerships with media studios, a pilot project for installing EV charging stations, and opportunities for city grants.
Business Trips
We believe that nature inspires the best ideas, and an informal setting helps build strong business connections.
Cruises
On a Sunday evening, we departed from Marina del Rey on the double-deck 'Pacific Star': while the ocean breeze cooled the deck, participants exchanged insights on entering foreign markets and crowdfunding.
Sunsets over the Lake
'Sunsets over the Lake' took place on the lawn of Lake Balboa (Anthony C. Beilenson Park). During a picnic, we discussed environmental initiatives: a pilot project to plant 3,000 trees in LA business districts and the launch of a startup for biodegradable packaging for restaurants.
Nature Retreats
We organized a 'Nature Retreat' at the Topanga State Park campsite: after sunrise yoga, teams analyzed ESG models for cleantech businesses, and by the evening campfire, they formed cross-industry advisory boards.
Business Game
We conducted a business game where participants immersed themselves in practical training for presenting projects to investors. They structured pitches and received expert feedback from invited specialists.
Media Day for Startups
During Media Day, teams recorded video business cards, conducted interviews, and learned to articulate their product clearly and confidently. Filming took place in a studio with professional lighting and a director.
LA Eco-Trails
During the 'LA Eco-Trails' weekend, we hiked the Temescal Canyon trail with ocean views. At stops, we discussed sustainable business models and carbon footprint offsetting.
Liner
As part of a three-day mini-cruise, we sailed from Los Angeles to Catalina Island. Participants presented projects by the pool, held sessions on deck, and conducted masterminds.
Startups on the Beach
On Santa Monica Beach, we held a 'Startups on the Beach' session: sunrise yoga, discussions on Go-to-Market strategies in a circle on the sand, and evening networking by the bonfire. The format was a hit – combining light informality with focused discussions.
